Fernbank Sessions is a monthly happening for performers and friends close to Ashburton in Devon

It is a bridge between an open mic and a house concert and simply a friends gathering, it has a flavour of its own, offering community networking oportunities for performers and guests alike.

10 to 15 mins slots available

For creative acts of any description including poetry and spoken word, storytelling and comedy, or a couple of songs.... All this is often interspersed with three 20 min guest slots for more seasoned acts, with collaborations likely later on....Steve Thehat our sound engineer will be on hand to sound check and set levels for us.

Please note - Our next event is Friday 3rd November, please use the contact form

6pm to 12pm.

This is a 'not for profit' invitation only monthly event.

Please Note ... so we can keep offering these sessions we will be asking performers and guests to make a minimum donation of £5 cash to help cover running costs, maintenance & improvements.

Thanks for supporting our community networking events.

Shared buffet food

Bring a dish or something for the table and whatever you like to drink.

There is an outdoor area with bonfire too.

Sorry but we can't accommodate dogs at these events  NO DOGS

Directions

Please organise your own lifts... do invite a friend with a car and where possible car share as in a rural setting limited parking space.

Fernbank, Stormsdown TQ126L12 is a green bungalow in woodland.

From the A38 towards Exeter, go 2 km past the Ashburton turns and take the slip road at Goodstone Cross offering Sigford and Widecombe.

1 mile up is a terrace of houses on right, and just beyond is Fernbank.

If heading from Exeter in direction Plymouth it’s easiest to take first Ashburton turn and double back on A38 then follow the directions as above.

We hope you can make it

Mark and Vincent
